How to use

Frequently asked questions
What does this checker actually run?
Three real prompts against two live engines: Perplexity Sonar (which searches the web and returns citations) and Google AI Overviews (the SERP overview Google shows for the same query, not a chat model). One prompt is a category discovery question, one is a recommendation question, and one asks about your brand by name. It is not a canned list of prompts for you to paste elsewhere.
Why can two runs of the same check disagree?
Live answer engines are non-deterministic. The same prompt can name you on one run and skip you on the next, and citation lists move as the index changes. Treat a single run as a snapshot, not a score you can A/B against yesterday without looking at the quotes.
Why does being cited matter more than being named?
A mention means the model knows the brand. A citation means it pointed at your domain as a source. Mentions without citations send the reader to a competitor or nowhere. The full probe scores citation rate separately from mention rate for that reason.
How many checks can I run per day?
Three per IP per day. Each check spends three live Perplexity calls plus three Google AI Overview lookups, so the limit is tighter than the keyless tools. Come back tomorrow, or run the full audit if you need the whole engine matrix.
